Description Summary: The Controller will support the financial operations of Frost Valley YMCA by managing day-to-day accounting activities, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and strengthening internal controls across the organization. This role works closely with the CFO, supervises the Sr. Accountant, and plays a key part in maintaining the financial health of a mission-driven nonprofit serving youth, families, and communities. Key Responsibilities: Accounting Operations: - Oversee daily accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash receipts, and general ledger maintenance. - Support the monthly and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to GAAP and YMCA financial standards. - Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and support schedules. - Assist with fixed asset tracking, depreciation schedules, and capital project accounting.
