Employment Type: Full time Shift: Day Shift Description: Holy Cross Health is seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Pipefitter to join our Engineering Department. This role is responsible for installing, assembling, maintaining, and repairing piping systems that support hospital infrastructure, including steam, water, gas, and medical gas systems. The Pipefitter plays a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our healthcare facilities. What you will do: Install and maintain piping systems for heating, cooling, steam, water, and medical gases. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. Cut, thread, and hammer pipes to specifications using tools such as saws, cutting torches, and pipe threaders. Inspect and test installed systems for leaks and proper functionality. Collaborate with engineering and maintenance staff to ensure timely project completion. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal codes and safety regulations. Respond to emergency maintenance requests. Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
