Job description

Job Title: Part Time History Educator Rate: $18.00 per hour: Dauphin County Parks & Recreation is currently accepting applications for the position of Part Time History Educator . The overall objective of the employee in this position is to help develop history education and event programming for the County Parks system and to assist with coordinating and staffing events and programs. This employee is also responsible for performing the following essential functions listed below: ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF JOB: Helps prepare and present history education and recreation programs to private and public schools, home schools, colleges, community-based organizations, teachers, and the general public. Assists in recruiting and training volunteers and fosters active support by the general public for the facilities and history education. Assists in developing use of technology, interpretive displays including exhibits, illustrated lectures, signs, virtual content, recordings, and other related presentation and engagement materials at the Mansion and throughout the park system.
