Job Summary The Sterile Processing Technician organizes, directs, and performs activities related to cleaning, sterilizing, storing, maintenance and distribution of equipment and instruments in the Sterile Processing Department Tuesday-Saturday 11:00 pm - 7:00 am Job Specific Responsibilities: Daily assignments may include but are not limited to: - Process and package instruments and instrument sets to be used in surgical procedures - Properly package and load items on the carriage for sterilization - Store, issue, and track equipment; this includes delivery and pick up from various departments - Operate, monitor, and exchange the Detergent Management System - Operate all SPD equipment in a safe and efficient manner - Troubleshoot and resolve problems with sterilizers - Properly test equipment and document following sterility assurance guidelines - All other assigned related duties Education and Experience: - High School Diploma or GED Skills and Abilities: Interaction with Other Departments and Other Relationships Frequent interactio...
