Way of Work: Hybrid Reporting Location: Columbus, Ohio - Airside Job Summary: To research, coordinate, and facilitate land activities in order to ensure land rights agreements are properly recorded, maintained, archived, and modified to meet legal requirements and customer expectations. Collaborate with survey and land leader to track survey and land projects and to ensure proper payment to contractors. Essential Functions: Investigate and interprets land rights agreements Assures all pertinent land documentation is available through both electronic media and paper to ensure accurate information is provided to company personnel and/or landowner, with appropriate provisions of agreement. Partners with the legal department in various projects, including discovery requests ensuring all acquired land agreements meet legal requirements Prepares legal documents (partial releases, surrenders, modifications, bills of sale, etc.) Examines courthouse records, requests title assistance, and contacts landowners where appropriate Submits land agreements to appropriate county for recording Controls/negotiates existing railroad license agreements and preparation of annual lease renewal schedule R...
