Job Summary: The Driver Supervisor is responsible for managing and coordinating the activity of drivers and assigned resources. This position ensures customers receive the highest level of service while operating efficiently in accordance with safety and regulatory requirements. Supervisory Responsibilities: Organizes and oversees the schedules and work of drivers Directs assigned tasks and provides assistance as needed Recruits and interviews prospective employees and chooses the best applicant based on skills, knowledge, and abilities required for the job Provides orientation and training for new employees Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive Communicates expectations, coaches for improvement and distributes discipline as necessary according to policy Essential Job Functions: Supervise drivers efficiently by using PeopleNet tools including but not limited to on time performance, preferred routes, unauthorized stops, accuracy of detention requests, and truck performance Dispatch drivers by using PeopleNet/check calls and work with Planners as applicable to set up routes Assist drivers with resolving any issues they may encounter Capture all load inform...
