Automation & Controls Specialist Department: Assembly, Integration & Test: Employment Type: Full Time: Location: Mojave: Compensation: $100,000 - $150,000 / year Description: The Propulsion Test Team at Impulse Space is responsible for designing, building, and operating world class test stands to support the development and production of engines and propulsion components that will serve in Impulse’s goal of pioneering the future of in-space transportation. This team is located at the Mojave Air & Space Port which is home to many firsts in air and space development. As a Automation & Controls Specialist at Impulse, you will be responsible for the installation and troubleshooting of test equipment related to rocket propulsion testing. This includes electrical wiring, pneumatics, PLCs, and industrial controls hardware. Responsibilities: - Install industrial controls hardware to NFPA 70 and NFPA 79 standards - Wire and/or modify control panels to UL508A standards - Troubleshoot faulty instrumentation and general electrical systems - Maintain an electrical shop, tools, consumables, and controls hardware inventory - Program/configure various industrial controls hardware (such as VFDs, mo...
