Description Position Number: 330607: The School of Science and Engineering at Duquesne University invites applications for a 9-month, tenure-track assistant professor position in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and Science with a start date of August 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to help build the new civil engineering program at Duquesne and to train the next generation of engineers for the ever-changing workforce. Candidates with expertise in structural, geotechnical, and environmental/water resources are strongly encouraged to apply. The candidate will be responsible for developing and teaching undergraduate courses, developing a funded research program, advising and mentoring students, and providing service to the department, university, and profession. Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: Ph.D. in Civil Engineering or closely related engineering field by the start date of employment. Ability to teach core undergraduate civil engineering courses.
