Title: Instructor of English 9/10 Month (Term) Institution: Volunteer State Community College: Job Summary: This position is responsible for delivering quality instruction in multiple instructional delivery formats and participating in evaluation of student learning and assessment of course and program outcomes. Faculty will participate in service activities to support the College’s mission. Job Duties: Within a minimum workweek of 37.5 hours, faculty are generally expected to teach 15 semester credit hours and hold additional in-person and virtual office hours as defined in College policy. Faculty will teach a total 28-32 semester credit hours across Fall and Spring semesters. Teach evening, weekend, off-campus, dual enrollment, and distance-based courses as required. Provide appropriate and effective instruction. Create and contribute to a supportive learning environment for students within and beyond the classroom. Actively participate in development, evaluation, and review of program and curriculum, including assisting with or leading affiliation and accreditation efforts as applicable.
