Description JOB SUMMARY: Within the context of an integrated health service and a client and family-centred care delivery model and in accordance with established vision and values of the organization such as the Downtown Eastside (DTES) Second Generation Strategy, the Health Unit Worker supports the community health programs/centres/clinics by maintaining inventories of various medical/surgical, biological supplies and harm reduction resources, setting up and dismantling clinic areas, cleaning and disinfecting equipment, assembling and preparing education packages for clients. Performs other related administrative support functions, as required. Establishes, maintains and enhances client interactions based on respect. QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience Grade 12. One (1) year recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Valid B.C. driver's license and local area travel requiring the use of a vehicle may be required.
