City/State Suffolk, VA Work Shift: Multiple shifts available Overview: Sentara Obici Hospital is hiring an Endoscopy Registered Nurse at Sentara Obici Hospital in Suffolk, Virginia. This is a full time, day shift position with required call. Must be within 30 -45 minutes of hospital location for call Hours : 5 eight-hour shifts from 7AM to 3PM Monday to Friday. Call Requirement : 20 days per month (One week on one week off). Weekday call is 3p to 7am. Every other weekend. About the department: Our newly remodeled endoscopy unit features three state-of-the-art procedure rooms and is staffed by a dedicated team of six RNs and endoscopy technicians who work closely with a primary GI outpatient provider, with additional staff available for call coverage and surgical needs. The team performs an average of 12 to 15 procedures daily. Extensive training, lasting 4 to 6 weeks, ensures the endoscopy technician will be proficient in equipment handling, assisting during procedures, and supporting hands-on surgeries.
