Summary The Operations Manager works in all operational business aspects (production and efficiency) of the Material Recovery Facility (MRF). In addition, the Operations Manager will ensure the highest standards of environmental health and safety and operational excellence by effectively managing the day-to-day operation and continuous improvement of assigned MRF. Job Description: Responsible for successful operation of transfer stations, ensuring sites are open and running safely and efficiently. Monitors site operations, safety and personnel. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Ensures all sites comply with all company, county and regulatory standards. Meets and works with all enforcement agencies (OSHA, CAL EPA, AQMD, etc).
