Business Manager, Vehicle Detection Operations

Job description

Operational Leadership & Delivery: - Lead day-to-day operations across installation, commissioning, maintenance, and break/fix for vehicle detection systems. - Own customer contract management, service levels, uptime targets, preventive maintenance programs, and dispatch efficiency. - Oversee work planning, scheduling, and resource allocation for field techs and subcontractors. - Standardize playbooks, method statements, commissioning checklists, and acceptance criteria. Project & Service Management: - Manage a portfolio of service contracts and small to mid-size projects (from site surveys to handover). - Drive change control, risk assessments, field readiness, and client communications. - Ensure documentation is accurate and complete (as-built, test reports, inventory records, roadmaps). Financial & Commercial: - Own the operational P&L for the line of business: forecasting, labor productivity, material levels, and margins. - Track and run weekly/monthly reviews. - Support bids and renewals with realistic delivery plans, costs, and resourcing models.
