Description Institution: NYU Grossman School of Medicine – Department of Psychiatry Location: Bellevue Hospital Center, Department of Psychiatry Inpatient Services Reports To: Director of Medical Psychiatry Services & Chief, Department of Psychiatry Job Summary: The Inpatient Psychiatry Nocturnist provides comprehensive medical care and consultation to patients admitted to the psychiatric service during after-hours shifts at Bellevue Hospital. This critical role involves coordinating medical management for patients in the Psychiatry Emergency Department and inpatient psychiatry units. The Nocturnist works collaboratively with psychiatric attendings, nurse practitioners (NPs), and registered nurses (RNs), integrating expertise in internal medicine and psychiatric care.
