The NP or PA provides patient services under the supervision of a licensed physician. The Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant ensures continuity between clinical practice and standards of care as well as promotes and aids in patient preparation for discharge. This individual works collaboratively with physicians, nurses, case managers, and other health care disciplines utilizing a team approach to healthcare.
