Plate Wash Assistant Department: Buttery: Employment Type: Permanent - Part Time Location: Brasenose College: Reporting To: Head of Food and Beverage Compensation: £19,967 / year: Description: Department and Job Purpose: To support the Buttery and food service teams with washing, storing and stocking of plates, cutlery and food service crockery. Assistance with the preparation of functions and rooms and processing of deliveries. Support to full time Plate Room Assistant. Please note, that this advert will close once the vacancy is filled. Key Responsibilities: Main Duties: - Washing of all crockery, cutlery and some glass ware through an electrical dishwasher to a safe standard. - Daily cleaning of the electrical dishwasher, conveyors and food macerator. - Strict observance of hygiene, health and safety regulations, COSHH and good practices. - Daily checking, and topping up of salt, if required in the water softener. - Ensuring the Plate Room is kept clean tidy at all times. - Ensuring all rubbish and food waste is removed after each meal. - Performing any other reasonable request made by the Steward or his deputy in his absence. - Assistance in t...
