Description OVERVIEW: The Yard and Warehouse position responsibilities include safely and efficiently loading/unloading customers’ vehicles and incoming freight deliveries, handling lumber and building materials, picking orders, stocking and counting inventory, and assisting with deliveries as needed. Building material knowledge is a plus; basic math skills are required, and one must be able to complete forklift certification. Requirements: KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: - Safely drive and operate a forklift, including loading, unloading, and stocking building materials with a forklift. - Load and unload building materials, which require bending, pushing, and pulling items that weigh up to 100 lbs. - Learn to identify numerous building products and their locations. - Gather, organize, and accurately build orders for delivery or pick up using pick tickets and a forklift. - Learn all yard and warehouse-related processes and procedures. - Complete and maintain various paperwork. - Load and unload customer vehicles by hand/forklift. - Ride with truck drivers to assist in making deliveries as needed. - Report to work on time and be dressed according to company policy. - Maintain a cle...
