Job Description The Analytics, Performance & Management Unit (APM) is a talented team of 25 data, technical, and management professionals leading the modernization of the agency’s data systems and advancing data-driven decision-making across the New York City Department of Transportation. This position will report directly to the Assistant Commissioner of APM. 1) Chief of Staff to the Assistant Commissioner of APM 2) Director of Project Management The Chief of Staff portion of the role will entail high level administrative and operational advisory responsibilities including advising on APM’s priorities, vision, SOPs, KPIs, organizational structure, and personnel actions. The selected candidate will also play a key role as a senior staff member of the greater Commissioner’s Office, assisting with special projects, organizational development, process advisement, and workflow streamlining across the agency. The Director of Project Management portion of the role will provide additional management and support of technical projects, programs, and initiatives within each of APM’s sub-units: Public Data, GIS/Spatial Analytics, Application Development, Data Analytics and Data Engineering.
