Job description
The Renal Physiopathology group (Vall d’Hebron Research Institute, Barcelona) is looking for highly motivated Research Technician with proven experience in cell and mouse disease models relevant to kidney pathology. The successful candidate will contribute to ongoing the project of Familial Hypomagnesemia with Hypercalciuria and Nephrocalcinosis (FHHNC). Main responsibilities and duties: Coordinate and manage patient samples’ collection Perform the main tasks related to FHHNC project (cell culture, biochemical techniques, etc.) Conduct experiments involving mouse models, including handling, breeding, and procedures. Handling, processing and storage of biological samples. Analyse data. Required: Candidates must have completed a Biomedicine or Biotechnology degree. Candidates must have completed a master in Biomedicine or related subjects. Fluency in Spanish and English (professional proficiency). Desirable: Statistical knowledge will be strongly valued. Knowledge of kidney physiopathology: Required: At least 4 years’ experience working in kidney cell models. Knowledge of rare renal diseases, specifically FHHNC.
