Primary Function/General Purpose of Position: The Electrophysiology Technologist will perform specialized roles within the invasive cardiovascular procedure setting. They operate specific high technology equipment and utilizes products under the direction of a qualified physician to assist with multispecialty cardiovascular procedures performed. Essential Job Functions: Performs and supports image acquisition, image processing, physiologic and/or hemodynamic data acquisition, and simple electrophysiology (EP) or 3D mapping during invasive procedures; assists nurses with patient management. Assists physician operator and invasive team before, during and after invasive procedures. Provides appropriate care to patients consistent with level of training.
