The Saw Operator will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining industrial saws to cut steel materials according to specifications. The ideal candidate will have experience in metal cutting, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to quality and safety in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Set up and operate band saws, cold saws, and other cutting equipment to process steel materials. Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and job specifications to determine cutting dimensions. Measure and mark materials for cutting, ensuring accuracy and minimizing waste. Adjust saw settings, including blade speed, cutting angles, and feed rates, for optimal performance. Inspect cut materials for quality and accuracy using precision measuring tools. Perform routine maintenance and blade changes on saw equipment. Load and unload steel materials using forklifts, overhead cranes, or manual handling as needed.
