Job description

The Department Chair is responsible for providing instructional leadership and operational oversight for assigned academic programs. This role includes teaching responsibilities as well as the day-to-day management, supervision of personnel, and overall program health. The Director ensures academic quality, compliance with accreditation and credentialing requirements, fiscal responsibility, and alignment with institutional goals. The Department Chair reports to the Associate Dean, Dean, Academic Vice President, or President and performs duties as assigned. - Compensation: $49,108.80 /yr - Worksite Location: South Campus - Start Date Fall 2026 Teaching Responsibilities: - Teaches in assigned instructional modalities (face-to-face, hybrid, or online) during day, evening, or weekend offerings at any WSU Tech campus or online location. - Maintains a full teaching load of 15 credit hours per semester, with the possibility of up to 9 additional credit hours as overload.
