Test Technician

Job description

Seeking a Test Technician with experience inspecting, measuring, and performing a range of mechanical and electrical evaluations to ensure locomotives meet all specifications prior to customer qualification and shipment. Pay: $26 - $33/hour: Location: Muncie, IN Schedule: - 1st shift: Mon-Fri 6am-4:30pm and 3rd Shift: Mon-Fri 7:30pm-6am - Overtime opportunities on Friday-Sunday Key Responsibilities: Qualifications & Experience - Test electrical, mechanical, and electronic locomotive systems and sub-assemblies, including: - Complex circuits and electrical measurements - Air brake systems - Diesel engines - Integrated system interactions - Diagnose, troubleshoot, adjust, and repair defects identified during testing. - Conduct track testing of locomotives in compliance with all operational rules and safety standards. - Follow written work instructions, scopes of work, and QWIs accurately and safely. - Perform calculations and record test data. - Set up test equipment and instrumentation to evaluate system performance. - Operate locomotives and mobile equipment (tuggers, forklifts, etc.). - Read and interpret precision instruments, gauges, and meters. - Operate overhead cranes. - Utili...
