Machine Maintenance Technician

Job description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: - Inspect or operate, machinery or equipment to diagnose basic machine malfunctions. - With Supervision: Dismantle machines, equipment, or devices to access and remove defective parts, using hoists, hand tools, or power tools. - Perform routine maintenance, such as inspecting drives, motors, or belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, or doing other preventative/predictive maintenance actions. - Diagnose basic mechanical problems and determine how to correct them. - Use basic hand tools and power tools as required. - Clean or lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, or other parts of machinery. - Positively interact with staff plant-wide and react quick to changing priorities. - Order parts, supplies, or equipment from catalogs or suppliers. - Record type maintenance or repair work into the CMMS system. - Assist the maintenance team in repair work as required. - Use basic measuring devices such as calipers and measuring tapes/rulers. - Perform minor carpentry/plumbing/assembly/fabrication for facilities related work, as necessary. - Move equipment, furniture, and other items as needed throughout the plant. - Assemble and/or fabricate shelving, carts, material...
