Job DetailsJob Location: Duneland - Portage, IN 46368Responsibilities of the Electronics Technician include the support of safety, quality, and production standards by ensuring the continuous operation of machinery and mechanical equipment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Test faulty equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using test equipment or software, and applying knowledge of the functional operation of electronic units and systems. Inspect components of industrial equipment for accurate assembly and installation or for defects, such as correct terminations, loose connections or frayed wires. Install repaired equipment, power, light, controls, and conduit in the plant, using blueprints, schematics, manuals, or other specifications to determine installation procedures. Examine work orders and converse with equipment operators, process engineers, and other maintenance personnel to detect equipment problems and to ascertain whether mechanical, electrical, or human errors contributed to the problems so the correct repair maybe ascertained.
