Description The University of Chicago Department of Pathology is recruiting a full-time open rank faculty position in the Section of Transfusion, Hemostasis, and Apheresis Medicine (THAM). The successful applicant will have clinical responsibilities in transfusion medicine (blood bank and donor collection activities), apheresis, and coagulation. The appointee will also participate in on-call service as well as section quality improvement activities, blood utilization oversight, and regulatory compliance. Other duties will include supervision and teaching of medical trainees and students, and scholarly activity. Academic rank and compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) are dependent upon qualifications. This position is benefits-eligible.
