Job description

The AH-64 Prop and Rotor Powertrain – Back Shop Mechanic AMII performs and inspects aviation unit (AVUM), intermediate (AVIM) and depot maintenance on assigned aircraft systems. Perform maintenance and repair on aircraft sub-system assemblies such as main rotor heads, transmissions, stabilators, and their sub-components. Inspect parts for wear, cracks, security, or other defects. Perform component bearing replacement, bushing replacement, and line reaming of bushings. Perform Periodic Maintenance Inspection (PMI) on main rotor heads from UH-60, AH-64, and CH-47 aircraft. Perform Time Before Overhaul (TBO) replacement. Responsible for completion and maintenance of applicable forms and records. Recommend methods to improve equipment performance and maintenance procedures. Observe all safety, environmental and general housekeeping rules and policies. Perform general aircraft maintenance duties (removal and installation of aircraft assemblies and components such as engines, rotors, transmissions, mechanical flight controls).
