Job Title: Referral Specialist- Lead Department: Oncology Administration Location: SLH - CPH Main (40), Care,50 Leroy Street,Potsdam, NY 13676United States of America Hours Per Week: 37.5 Schedule: Full-Time, Day Shift, Monday- Friday, 8 am to 4 pm Position Summary: The Oncology Referral Specialist-Lead is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and care to all patients and is responsible for the coordination of patient care and administrative tasks. The Specialty Patient Care Coordinator has administrative responsibilities including patient greeting, check-in, answering phones, triaging phone calls, scanning, complex scheduling and coordination for exams and procedures and regularly communicating with clinicians and office staff. The specialty patient care coordinator also prepares and maintains patient charts, obtains results not otherwise found in the electronic record, and obtains pre-certifications and authorizations for patients care.
