Position Function: The Small Animal Internal Medicine residency at the Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine is a three-year program within our Small Animal Medicine service. The primary objectives of our program are to train specialists in veterinary internal medicine and to prepare residents for board certification in the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (Small Animal Internal Medicine). These goals will be achieved by working closely with senior faculty, daily The Small Animal Internal Medicine service case rounds, daily intern/resident rounds, weekly medicine journal club, weekly medicine board review sessions, weekly article reviews with associated exam questions, seminars and clinical presentations, individual case responsibility, and providing the highest quality patient care.
