Overview of the Position: The Supply Chain Specialist is responsible for the supportability of customer requirements, and inventory turns through supply chain management. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Review requirements to determine and perform the necessary course of action, including: sourcing, purchasing, expediting, de-expediting, and cancellation. - Research, recommend, and negotiate best practice procurements. - Prepare requests for quotes, purchase orders, and purchase order change notices. - Ensure purchases are compliant with customer flow downs. - Work closely with vendors to develop and maintain strategic relationships. - Review necessary data and ensure adequate supportability is maintained. - Negotiate pricing for best value and strategic wins. - Resolve issues internally and externally through effective communication. - Monitor inventory levels and supportability. - Perform other duties as assigned.
