Job description
Dr. Amy R. Nelson’s lab recently moved to USF and is seeking a research technician to join the team. The Nelson lab is passionate about identifying root causes of dementia, particularly Alzheimer’s disease, with hopes of alleviating this cruel disease. We are investigating vascular contributions to dementia through basic and translational research studies using many state-of-the-art techniques including confocal/multiphoton microscopy, laser speckle imaging, multiplex protein assays, brain organoid development, etc. Preparing samples and equipment. Performing and assisting others with experiments in a reliable/reproducible manner with troubleshooting as necessary. Minimum Qualifications: (a) Two years of direct experience for an associate degree; (b) Four years of direct experience for a bachelor’s degree; (c) Six years of direct experience for a master’s degree; (d) Seven years of direct experience for a professional degree; or (e) Nine years of direct experience for a doctoral degree - This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and three years of laboratory or research experience.
