Tapping Technician Department: Operations: Employment Type: Full Time: Location: Fort Worth, TX: Reporting To: Noel Simental: Compensation: $20.00 - $22.00 / hour Description: Tapping Technicians provide effective maintenance and operation for water and wastewater utilities. The Tapping Technicians travel out of town. Key Responsibilities: Role Responsibilities: - Field work involving the installation, repair, and maintenance of underground water mains and tapping water mains - Independent travel to multiple worksites utilizing service trucks or equipment - Performs line stops, wet taps, and valve insertions utilizing different pipe types and products. - Breakdown and setup of line stops, tapping, and valve inserting equipment. - Performing and assisting in shop duties as necessary - Work within confined spaces (trench boxes, excavations, tunnels, and mechanical rooms) - Prepare and/or complete work orders and safety sheets - Maintain accurate and up-to-date records Skills, Knowledge & Expertise: Required Skills/Abilities: - Knowledge of and the ability to use basic hand tools, materials, and equipment commonly used in the performance of job function. - Knowledge of using pumps, co...
