Overview This role is eligible for a Sign On/Retention Bonus of $3,000. The Food & Nutrition Services (FNS) Department at Dartmouth-Hitchcock encompasses Patient Food Services, Clinical Nutrition, and Dining Services. FNS aims to provide a nutritional environment which supports a population-level approach to a healthy diet and aligns with the D-H commitment to improve the health and wellness of our patients, employees, and community and create a sustainable health system. A Cook reviews menus, work orders or customer orders to determine type and quantities of food to be prepared. May plan menus and estimate required food quantities, labor and overhead costs. To learn more about our Food and Nutrition Services department and roles - watch here : Responsibilities - Prepares vegetables in bulk for later use in recipes. - Slices deli meats and vegetables for cold food service - Follows recipes to make bulk products following standardized recipes and production methods. Creates recipes for retail sales. - Prepares patient nourishment's and write-ins as tallied following proper production procedures. - Assembles and plates patient salads and sandwiches for tray line assembly.
