JOB CATEGORY: MAINTENANCE / CUSTODIAL: POSITION SUMMARY: The Facility and Maintenance Supervisor directs the maintenance and custodial program in order to maintain all facilities, grounds and equipment in a sanitary, functional, attractive and orderly condition. This position also supervises assigned maintenance and custodial staff. LIMITATIONS OF AUTHORITY: The Facility and Maintenance Supervisor confers with the Administrator or General Services Director before initiating expenditures of more than $500 cost. In the absence of the Administrator / Region Director or General Services Director, the Facility and Maintenance Supervisor may initiate emergency repairs not to exceed $1,000. REQUIREMENTS: EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: - High School Diploma or equivalent. - Minimum five years’ experience in general maintenance, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, and/or painting. - Minimum one year supervisory experience. - Broad knowledge of construction, repair, maintenance and service procedures, practices, problems and compliance, including procurement, cost-benefit analysis and cost control, also landscaping and mechanical systems preferred.
