Job description

Position: Registration Specialist (Onsite) Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM. No weekends or holidays. Location: Metro Indianapolis Parking: Paid by department Key Responsibilities: Welcome patients and manage check-in/check-out process . Review insurance information and verify demographics. Complete pre-registration and schedule appointments. Support medical assistants and understand provider preferences. Troubleshoot patient issues and ensure smooth patient flow. Answer incoming calls and direct patients/visitors appropriately. Required Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED. Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Ability to interpret insurance information. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in a healthcare setting. Familiarity with medical terminology and clinical practices. Ability to learn and retain medical coding (ICD-10, CPT preferred). Skills for Success: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
