Senior Accountant

Job description

Salary: $100K-$115K Overview: The Sr. Accountant is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the general ledger by ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions. This role plays a critical part in month-end close processes, financial reporting, and compliance with accounting standards. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, prepaids, and reclassifications. - Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies. - Assist in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities. - Reconcile balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies. - Prepare monthly and other ad hoc schedules as needed by the finance team. - Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations. - Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies. - Collaborate with other departments to gather financial data and improve reporting accuracy. - Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
