Waste Connections is seeking an experienced and customer-focused Scale House Attendant to join our team in Polkton, NC . Previous experience in the waste or recycling industry is a strong plus but not required for the right candidate. This role is a critical first point of contact for our customers and requires strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills. Primary Responsibilities: - Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers - Operate truck scales (weighing vehicles in and out accurately) - Maintain and update customer account and transaction information - Set up new customer accounts in the system - Run daily and monthly operational reports and input data into Excel spreadsheets - Generate, review, and process customer invoices - Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and site staff - Perform administrative tasks while working independently with minimal supervision Qualifications & Requirements: - Strong customer service and interpersonal skills - Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment - Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel - Solid communication and organizational skills - Ability to work independently and ma...
