Description Assistant or Associate Professor on the clinician educator track The Department of Pathology, Microbiology, and Immunology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center seeks a board certified/eligible clinical pathologist with expertise in transfusion medicine/blood banking and specialized coagulation testing to join the faculty of the transfusion medicine and coagulation services of Vanderbilt Medical Laboratories. Vanderbilt Medical Laboratories (VML) supports the care of Vanderbilt University Medical Center’s hospitals, ambulatory clinics, and extramural practice customers. The laboratory deploys innovative technology and care models in laboratory medicine, including an active coagulation Diagnostic Management Team and state of the art laboratory for patients with bleeding and thrombotic disorders. VML transfusion medicine and coagulation laboratories offer an expansive and specialized test menu.
