Job description

The Summer Conference Assistant (SCA) is a live-in role supporting summer housing operations within The New School residence halls, with a primary focus on serving conference guests and external groups. SCAs play a key role in ensuring a smooth, welcoming, and well-managed residential experience for a high volume of short-term guests, while also supporting a smaller population of The New School summer school students. RESPONSIBILITIES: Serve as a knowledgeable campus resource, proactively connecting conference guests and students to university services. Serve in an on call rotation, supporting those residing in the residence halls outside of traditional office hours including providing lockout response support in a timely and customer-centered manner Maintain on-site presence by hosting a minimum of 20 office hours per week Deliver quality customer service to all conference guest, students and campus partners Respond to behavioral and crisis concerns, utilizing appropriate protocols and procedures.
