Job description

Core Responsibilities: - Perform site preparation including layout marking, traffic control setup, and cleanup. - Assist with cutting pavement slots and preparing sensor layouts. - Install sensor wire and apply sealant under supervision. - Perform basic electrical tests (continuity, resistance) with guidance. - Document work performed. Maintain tools and organize materials. - Support troubleshooting by identifying visible damage or simple faults. - Follow all jobsite safety protocols, including PPE, traffic control, and equipment operation. - Maintain clean, organized work areas and ensure safe operation of cutting and drilling equipment. Required Skills: - Basic understanding of hand tools and construction practices. - Willingness to learn electrical concepts and traffic sensor theory. - Ability to follow detailed instructions and work safely. - Comfortable working outdoors and performing physical labor. - Available to travel with crew throughout Alberta. - The ability to communicate with project managers, traffic control technicians, and construction crews.
