Job description

The Supply Chain Intern participates in a structured rotation program across logistics center functions at the Midwest Logistics Center (MWLC). The intern gains hands-on experience at the individual contributor level in inbound, outbound, inventory control, and engineering operations, with the goal of connecting floor-level work to overall building flow and supply chain planning. This role is designed to develop practical understanding of DC operations in a real-world logistics environment and serves as a replicable model for future internship placements within DBI’s logistics network. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Performs hands-on work alongside associates in assigned rotation areas including inbound receiving, unit replenishment, outbound operations, and inventory control. (60%) Shadows leads, coordinators, and engineering staff to observe team management, operational planning, and systems-level decision-making. (20%) Participates in engineering and labor planning work, including exposure to labor management systems, engineered standards, and operational reporting.
