This innovative pre-recruiting preparation program is designed to identify potential police officer recruits from among area youth aged 19 - 24 years who may benefit from additional training/development within a policing environment for one year, prior to applying to become a Police Officer with the Service. Cadets MUST meet the threshold to qualify for the Constable recruiting program in order to participate, although they will not be required to have completed their OACP certificate. They will need to obtain this certificate within their contract year. The contract position starts May, 2020. Position Overview Position Overview 1. Patrol Duty – a Cadet shall be allowed to accompany a designated coach officer during uniform patrol escorts, including foot patrol; 2.
