Performance Research Engineer

Job description

The Performance Research Engineer will play a critical role in advancing TaylorMade’s leadership in golf equipment performance. This position is ideal for a hands-on engineer with strong mechanical aptitude and advanced data analytics skills. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between physical testing and high-level data analysis to deliver actionable insights that influence product design and performance optimization. Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities: Lead the design and execution of advanced performance testing protocols for golf clubs and balls. Analyze large datasets from lab and field testing to extract actionable insights on ball speed, spin, launch, and consistency. Develop and maintain automated data pipelines and dashboards for performance tracking. Collaborate with R&D, Product Development, and Tour teams to integrate player feedback and real-world data into product design. Conduct competitor benchmarking and present findings to influence product strategy. Support the development of new test methods and instrumentation.
