Pay is $19.00/hour Position Summary: To assist with instruction and educational support for children with disabilities while participating in a focused professional development series in one of three tracks: Special Education Psychology/Human services Business Limited temporary housing at The School at Springbrook may be available upon signed agreement. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: - Under leadership of the classroom teacher, provide direct care and supervision of 5-22 year old students in a residential school setting. - Demonstrate an awareness of the daily classroom schedule and specific assignments. - Work as collaborative team member, assisting other staff in assigned classroom and throughout the building. - Demonstrate an understanding of basic learning philosophies and expectations in the classroom. - Promote a positive, nurturing environment for students. - Facilitate child involvement in play, assigned therapies, and classroom activities. - Assist students with activities of daily living, behavior management & support, and goal acquisition. - Implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) in addition to other service plans and record daily data according to classr...
