Position Summary The IR Thermography Technician is responsible for performing ground and aerial based infrared inspections of overhead distribution and transmission electrical infrastructure, and all applicable use cases across the western United States. This role conducts thermal scanning on a variety of assets and equipment in the electrical utility, oil and gas, and commercial industries. This position is a contract field role with strong opportunity to support multiple programs and clients as Acuren continues to grow its infrared inspection business across the western United States. Responsibilities: Other work duties as assigned. - Conduct inspections of overhead distribution and transmission electrical infrastructure from a moving vehicle, scanning pole-to-pole along assigned circuit routes. - Operate IR camera to identify hot spot anomalies on various components and equipment - Comply with all applicable safety requirements including daily tailboard completion, HFRA fire safety protocols, traffic control procedures, and required PPE, immediate escalation of high priority findings. - Travel extensively throughout the contract period across multiple districts and service terri...
