Staff Product Engineer

Job Family Description This position is a key on-site technical resource within Nokia’s Delivery and Operations Optics Manufacturing Team to provide support for transitioning from new product development to high-volume production. The Product Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that the product designs are cost-effective and manufactured in high-volume, managing products through the manufacturing line, overall process improvement, as well as yield and WIP reporting. Key Responsibilities: The product engineer would be responsible for new product introduction of optical systems into production by working closely with development, operations, and CM teams. Review design specifications and ensure designs (optical, electrical, and mechanical) are cost-effective, manufacturable, and are of high quality. Drive qualifications of new product components. Be a key member of the cross-functional product development and operations team. Review product test plans, methodology, specifications, and MFG process flow.
