This Opportunity WSP is currently initiating a search for On-Call Emergency Managers – Safety . Since the actual work location will be the deployment site(s), these positions have the potential to report out of any WSP USA office, which could include Boston, MA; Jacksonville, FL; Tallahassee, FL; Orlando, FL; Tampa, FL; Miami, FL; Birmingham, AL; New Orleans, LA; Raleigh, NC; Columbia, SC; Dallas, TX; or Houston, TX. Emergency management cadre positions are on-call and assignments are on an as-needed basis . Cadre members are not eligible for benefits. Cadre members are asked for a 30 day commitment; availability to deploy with little to no advance notice (typically within 24-48 hours); and during deployments, ability to potentially work 8-12 hours/day; 7 days/week. Your Impact: - Lead Emergency Management team, providing services to clients preparing for, responding to, and recovering from disasters nationwide and in US territories. - Manage Emergency Operations Center and/or Field Staging Area operations prior to, during, and post-disaster. - Responsible for ensuring that worksites are safe for workers and comply with applicable regulations. - Attend periodic training throughout...
