The Audiology Assistant 2 performs tasks that are prescribed, directed, and supervised by a certified and/or licensed audiologist. The Audiology Assistant 2 serves as a mentor to Audiology Assistant 1’s, through supporting their training and professional advisement. The Audiology Assistant 2 ensures clinics remain on time and can cover for all areas of Audiology Assistant responsibility as needed. CORE JOB FUNCTIONS: Supports Audiologist in audiological testing and evaluation, ensuring proper fitting of hearing devices and technology. Supports the delivery of services, where appropriate. Performs hearing aid orientation, including basic care and use of hearing aid (insertion, removal, adjusting volume, etc.) Demonstrates care and maintenance of hearing devices to patients and support/care givers.
