Interim Instructional Labs Administrator – Woodshop/Digital Fabrication

Job description

This position will support SACD students and faculty who need to utilize SACD Woodshop/Digital Fabrication Lab resources. Duties will include training others in standard shop safety protocols and practices, supervising lab support staff, maintaining lab equipment, managing the lab supplies inventory, coordinating architecture building set-ups and breakdowns at the beginning and end of semesters, and liaising with the USF Office of Environmental Health and Safety, the Physical Plant, and other campus entities. The successful candidate will demonstrate a thorough knowledge of professional and safety practices associated with analogue and digital shop/fabrication tools and processes. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and demonstrate the following qualifications: Degree Equivalency Clause: Four years of direct experience for a bachelor’s degree. - Maintain and administer lab safety protocols for students and faculty. - Ensure all lab equipment is calibrated and in safe operating condition. - Instruct SACD students on proper and safe operation of lab equipment and techniques in the completion of projects. - Consult...
