Offers assessment, evaluation and recommendations to pre-operative patients seeking Bariatric Surgery services. Additionally, offers assessment, evaluation, group therapy and potential recommendations to patients’ post-bariatric surgery and those seeking medical weight management services. Job Description: Under the general supervision of the Medical Director of Bariatric Surgery and Medical Director of Obesity Medicine and Program Manager and Director, assumes the following responsibilities: - Assures the safety of the patient population served by demonstrating age-appropriate skills in assessing, implementing and evaluating plans of care. - Performs psychological evaluation for the preoperative bariatric patient and provides a formal written evaluation and interpretation of data as to the patient’s readiness and ability to make an informed decision regarding surgery as a major lifestyle change. - Participates in mult...
